Rockin’ in memphis! intercoiffure america/canada spring atelier 2018: a memorable event
A weekend to be remembered! Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2018 was a memorable event held this past weekend in the heart of Elvis' Graceland, in Memphis (Tennessee), attended by prominent members of Intercoiffure from all across North America!
The Spring Atelier was presented by Frank Gambuzza as President of Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA), who was joined by Sheila Wilson, ICA 1st Vice-President and Atelier Chairperson, a Memphis born and raised beauty professional. "Over the past year, our club has grown. Not only in numbers and size, but in heart and soul. Together this weekend, we celebrate the soul of ICA in the city where soul was born," said Gambuzza. "We are coming together to find solutions, celebrate successes and remember the good times, all while creating memories that will be the stories told to the next generation: this weekend I challenge you to rejuvenate your soul by feeding off the energy of this city and our club. Step out of your box. Open your mind. Think BIG. In the words of Elvis, 'It’s not how much you have that makes people look up to you, it’s who you are.' – so who do you want to be? Start the transformation today!" stated the President of Intercoiffure America/Canada.
Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2018 presented inspiring presentations, seminars and conferences. Goldwell's Trevor Attenborough, Pivot Point's Robert Passage and BCL's Lynelle Lynch, introduced the new Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) campaign 'Get your Dream Job'. Erin Hayden and the Hairdreams Artistic Team starred the amazing Hairdreams IllumiNation show. Industry icon Mary Brunetti along with Frank Gambuzza, Adam Broderick & Lois Christie, presented the interesting panel 'What if you don't train them and they stay?'. The Balay Lama – Candy Shaw herself introduced the conference 'Avoiding a Bad Legal Day in the Salon Business' presented by Stanley Wilson. Van Council, the awesome Intercoiffure America/Canada Artistic Director, was the best host for an awe-inspiring Hairbrained Master Jam, featuring onstage Gerard Scarpaci, Anna Pacitto, Traci Sakosits and Frank Gambuzza – all displaying their fascinating haircutting skills.
After lunch, there was the brilliant presentation 'Bauhaus meets Fisher Price' by the Intercoiffure Nouveau Team led by Perry Monge, ICA Nouveau Director, and featuring ten brilliant & talented young hairstylists from all over the country. Then Frank Gambuzza took the stage again to interview Oribe’s Daniel Kaner & Goldwell’s Trevor Attenborough on the recent Kao's acquisition of Oribe Hair Care. Last but not least, Drew Schaefering and Laura Gibson, starred a fabulous Cut, Color and Style demonstration with L’Oréal Professionnel. Sunday night all attendees enjoyed the spectacular Revitalash Bash and Lashion Show, followed by an entertaining party themed after the good old days of Rock 'n' Roll and, of course, Elvis!
