World Wide Hair Tour 2018 by Davines: Sustainable Beauty meets Global Inspiration
From May 27 to 29 the Davines international community gathered in the refined Italian city of Parma – the town centre, rich in masterpieces of art, vast green spaces and treasures of different eras, welcomed beauty professionals from all over the world and entertained them with grace.
The World Wide Hair Tour 2018 landed in Davines’ home town, after London and Los Angeles, to reunite creative hairdressers who share a similar vision, to exchange trends, ideas and projects in an event dedicated to beauty: a value that Davines translates into harmony, good taste and an expression of its own individuality.
A unique event in the history of the brand, that hosted for three days more than 3,300 industry professionals coming from 80 countries, to enjoy the city of Parma between parties, gala dinners and various cultural activities created for the occasion, and also to welcome on stage all the international hairstylists who defined the brand’s history from its very beginning. From Tim Hartley to Candice McKay, from Anna Pacitto to Vincent Moutault, as well as James Abu-Ulba, Jesus Oliver, Sal Misseri, Huub Eysink, Jani Beemster, the duo Brian Suhr & Kirsten Demant, the Allilon team and Angelo Seminara, Davines’ Artistic Director. These amazing artists shared the limelight also with the talented hairstylists of the World Style Contest, had a chance to compete, interpret their own style and enjoy international recognition, facing off with the other finalists selected from all over the world.
The WWHT18 was the special occasion to celebrate with the entire Davines community a key moment in the history of the company: Davines Village, the new headquarter and Home of Sustainable Beauty. Developed on a surface area of 77,000 square meters, of which about half covered by gardens created by the studio of landscape design Del Buono Gazerwitz, the Village is designed by architects Matteo Thun and Luca Colombo.
Three days packed with emotions and shared in pure Davines style... but that was not all. During the month of May, Parma usually hosts festivals and cultural events setup throughout the city, often creating interesting exhibition spaces that actively engage its citizens. Davines has been supporting these initiatives for years, and this year created a special evening to entertain its guests. A night with open stores and museums, music, video art and art performance along the historical streets of Parma centre with the possibility to visit “The Third Day” art exhibition that puts together 40 international artists and 115 works and installations illustrating the relation between art and nature. The exhibition is open until July 1st and all Davines international customers were able to visit it during the three days of the WWHT event.
